    There are several ways to check if a stockbroker is licensed in your state. You can contact the regulatory body or ask someone who has used them.

    However, all of these take a long process because https://fx-list.com/stock-forex-brokers has everything you need. You can find the contract specification for trading stock with these brokers. Additionally, you can compare their leverage, spread, and trading hours.

    Stocks are not leveraged what Forex is, so a trader with a small trading capital can more quickly build up their accounts trading Fx, whereas with stocks you'd have to trade a lot of them to make any reasonable return, so you need more money to start.
