When there are no active trade positions, the equity is the same as the free margin, and is also the same as the balance on the account. Equity in forex therefore refers to the total value of a trader's account, when any open positions have been factored into the equation. I have flexible margin level with Trade12 which varies from account to account. And as a result of that I can enjoy a good amount of profit indeed.

Re: Margin requirement
When we decide to work with a trading platform we must evaluate certain important factors like spread, leverage, margin account. Margin account is the minimum sum of money investor or trader in the forex market has to maintain with his broker. I am working with a regulated broker AAFX and can enjoy low margin level requirement and also it gives me low and fixed 1 pip spread, high leverage of 1:2000.
